This 4690World custom interface works in concert with the Utopia Cash Handler.  In brief, the following is a summary of the capabilities for various tender types:

4690World developed a system that interfaces with the Retailer’s host system to enhance the promotional deals offered in the existing Application pricing models, giving retailers more flexibility in creating promotional pricing.

Specifically we have added more in-depth processing for Buy/Get promotions.  The 4690World Deal System supports the following Buy/Get deal "types":

1. Buy X, Get $ off item or transaction
2. Buy X, Get % off single item (Bogo is defined as Get 100% off)
3. Buy X, Get % off all items
4. Buy X, Get % off group of items (example is “case” of wine, customer has to purchase 12 bottles before they get the deal.  They do not get the deal on the wine bottles until the 24^th purchase, etc..)
5. Buy X, Get Item for Specific $ Amount (i.e. Buy 10 Marker for $10, where each marker might be $1.29 each)

4690World has developed a feature rich interface to the Dresser Wayne Fuel Pump (IDPOS Interface).  The system provides interaction between the Fuel Pump and the 4690 POS system as well as interfacing seamlessly with the Payment and Loyalty Card Systems.

Customers can purchase gasoline directly at the pump via payment card swipe or select the pay inside option.  If a payment card is used, at the pump or inside at the register, the authorization is routed through the POS system.

Regardless of the purchase method (pay at the pump or pay inside) the transaction is logged in the 4690 system Tlog for processing by the host.

Loyalty cards are also supported to provide a per gallon discount for the customer.  The loyalty card is swiped at the pump and is interfaced with the customers host system, so validation occurs on the host.

In order to comply with PCI, retailers are required to monitor critical system files on their POS systems and generate a notification message when one of these critical system files changes.

4690World has developed code to perform this monitor process on the POS system and generate a “monitor report file” which contains a list of any critical system files whose content had changed from the “gold” image.

The results can be delivered in one of 2 ways.

1. The monitor report file can be polled by the host for further processing.  The host can then generate a report to be printed/viewed showing any critical system files on the POS system which have been modified.
2. An alert can automatically be generated when a critical system file does not match the "gold" image.

4690World's interface to the McKesson Pharmacy System provides real time interaction between the POS system and the Pharmacy System.  The Rx is scanned on the POS system and a request is sent to the pharmacy system for pricing.  The Pharmacy system marks the prescription as "filled" and sends the pricing back to the POS system.

4690World has written an interface to Catalina Marketing's Coupon system, enabling Retailer's to take advantage of shopper-driven promotions at the Point of Purchase.

4690World has developed interfaces between the POS system and various Centralized Loyalty Programs.  This system supports lookup and updating of Loyalty Points and can be configured to offer special Loyalty pricing at the Point of Sale.  We also developed a component that supports the scanning of the customer's Driver's License as the mechanism for lookup.

The Refunds Management System (RMS), developed by 4690World, allows retailers to control the refunds performed on their 4690 Store Systems.  It provides a central database for all stores to verify/access original purchases, and also provides visibility to the entire enterprise.

RMS is a host based system that interfaces with transactions from the retail stores.  4690World's RIO Grande is the engine that provides up-to-date sales information from the stores to the Refunds Management System.

The System is configurable to conform to the retailer's return policy, enabling business critical activities such as alerts and exception logging which can be generated if return activity exceeds the configured acceptable levels.
