JavaTP is a 100% Pure JavaT utility supporting 4690 Tlog files. The utility has been built to showcase the capabilities of the newly developed 100% Pure JavaT 4690 Tlog access classes.
Currently, JavaTP is a console mode application. It receives all it's 'instructions' from it's properties file, javatp.properties. Through this file, you can define a myriad of options for JavaTP. JavaTP also supports the ability to process multiple Tlog input files on a single run. This also is defined within the properties file. Future versions of the program may provide gui support.
JavaTP's features:
- Supports all 4690 Tlog file formats (SA, GSA, CSA and SMA)
- Utilizes the Template files from TV++
- Provides support for user defined strings
- Configurable search engine provides unlimited search capabilities
- Configurable output criteria based on the search criteria
- Unlimited output formats supported, it's only limited by your imagination
- We provide sample ASCII, EBCDIC, XML and SQL output formats in the new release release. The SQL outputter actually maps the output into an ODBC/JDBC compliant RDBMS.... try it out, it's fully functional.
Benefits of using JavaTP:
- It's fast, accurate, and proven (it's converting close to $60 billion worth of Tlogs/year. This works out to over 3000 tlogs daily!)
- Portable across systems (can run on OS390, AS400, Win95/NT/2K, 4690 OS Ver 2, *nix). JavaTP is currently in production on AIX , Solaris , Windows NT and True64 Unix .
- Easy to operate
- Excellent value, e-mail us for pricing
- Supports almost unlimited output capabilites
- Completely customizable and extendable by you (see the program documetation for specifics)
JavaTP's search engine is unequalled in the industry. You are able to find ANYTHING within a 4690 Tlog. It's been used to find everything from peoples names (stored as ASCII in the track2 field of a user string) to complex compound conditions within a transaction.
Take a closer look at the screen shot. It's a collection of item strings from a SuperMarket Tlog with a comma (,) as the field separator. JavaTP created this output file. This output file was then imported into an Excel spreadsheet and sorted on a specific column (item number). This shows one example of a multitude. You could:
- Extract all credit card data from a Tlog (tender string) and import only those strings into a spreadsheet
- Extract all voided items (item string) and import only those strings into a spreadsheet
- Extract all user defined strings for external processing
The options are almost unlimited on what could be extracted from a proprietary 4690 Tlog, converted to an understandable format and utilized in other ways.
